The PowerLeap™ PL-Renaissance/SMP upgrade board allows systems
computers to take advantage of the latest FC-PGA (Coppermine) &
PPGA (Celeron) CPU from Intel,
The upgrade board employs patented (Japanese Registered Utility Model No. 3042946),(USApatent No.5,919,259 & 5,938,769) technology to adapt systems to the voltage and FSB requirements of this new generation of processors. It provides an upgrade solution that surpass the replacement of the motherboard.
This high performance Upgrade board’s employed today’s advanced technologies. : Three buffered, 3.3 Volts, 168-pin DIMM sockets are included for supporting ECC SDRAM & standard SDRAM. It also utilizes Intel's 82371AB (PIIX4) Chipset. The Intel’s 82371AB PCI/ISA IDE provides an integrated Bus Mastering IDE controller with two high performance IDE interfaces for up to four IDE devices (such as hard drives or CD-ROM). The Winbond W83977/TF super I/O controller integrates the standard PC I/O functions: Floppy interface, two FIFO serial ports, one EPP/ECP capable parallel port and support for Consumer InfraRed compatible interface.
This board is designed to support the new graphic interface
standard, Accelerated Graphic Port (AGP), The AGP interface can reach
a theoretical ~532Mbytes/sec(X2)
